BuildingPulse

Eligibility Quiz

Step 1 of 7
Before we start

Let's find out which BuildingPulse fits your building.

BuildingPulse watches electric usage in real time. To do that, we need a way to read your meter. Some modern meters can send a pulse for each unit of electricity used. If yours can, the install is simpler. If it cannot, FMC installs its own meter. Seven quick questions point us to the right path.

Plain language. We describe what to look for in plain English and pictures. You do not need to know what "KYZ" means. We just ask if you see certain things on your meter.
"Not sure" is always an option. If you do not know, choose it and move on. We confirm everything before any work is scheduled.
Two possible outcomes. Either you qualify for BuildingPulse Core (fixed $6,500 all-in) and get a one-click button to schedule install, or you go to full BuildingPulse which requires a short FMC site visit so we can price it accurately.
Contact

Address suggestions will appear as you type.
Question 1 of 4

Take a look at your electric meter. What does its face look like?

Your meter is usually mounted on the outside of the building, in an electrical room, or in a mechanical closet. Look at the main "display" area — what do you see?

Question 2 of 4

What shape is the meter itself?

This usually tells us whether it's a residential-style meter or a bigger commercial one. They behave very differently.

Question 3 of 4

Roughly how old does the meter look?

If the utility swapped it in the last decade or so, it is more likely to support what we need.

Question 4 of 4

One last look — notice any of these on or near the meter?

We are looking for clues that the meter can share a signal. Pick whichever fits best.
